boo!

we are gearing up for halloween at our house.  we love to decorate and despite looking like a preschool, ellie still thinks that we are lacking decorations. 

on friday night we had our own little halloween craft project. we made little fabric ghosts using instructions from this fun book.

we started with some very light, gauzy cotton fabric- the book calls for cheesecloth.  we cut squares of the fabric - roughly 14 inches sqaure.  we dipped the fabric in a mixture that is two parts glue, one part water.  then, we layered two pieces of fabric over balloons that we had resting in plastic cups.  it was messy...

we let them dry overnight.  then we drew little faces on once they were dry.  and, we ended up with some really cute little ghosts.
